Stakeholder meetings and requirements gathering were essential to understanding the product
This played a key role in understanding the organization’s culture, goals, design sprints, and work ethics. The management applauded how quickly I was able to absorb the data and integrate myself with the core teams - Product, Business, and Development

Lack of an established design system
The mobile experience was built organically and displayed inefficient ad hoc changes over time
Inefficient navigation structure
Repetitive links were utilized in the footer as well as the navigation menu
Inconsistent experience across touch-points
The architecture wasn’t customized to follow a standard layout on the iPad

Machine learning ensured that each employee has customized suggestions for resources based on their interest and passion
I re-structured the information design for the cards to ensure the distinction between the content and actionable links
Course details
The overview panel was restructured for clear distinction between clickable and non-clickable content
Redundant information such as interests and categories were moved into accordions to reduce information overload
The category of the resource (online learning) was adopted for easy recognition
Skill development status
The people periodically share their skill development progress with their managers to discuss their milestones and receive feedback
I suggested the use of colors for easy identification of each skill’s status
The core teams have adopted this approach across all products
Saba Cloud was highly appreciated by the Cornerstone leadership and has been integrated as it is into their platform

Challenges faced and what I’ve learnt
Reflections
During the initial month, I found it challenging to work within the development constraints
Since we were following an agile approach, often, I had to let go of my design proposals due to the limitations set by the sprint
Bottlenecks
Constraints challenged me to adapt and work within the ecosystem rather than derive unrealistic solutions
Continuous involvement with the dev team helped me understand their POV, and we often established common grounds
